Drinking
water purification has just made a giant leap forward.
Innowave has developed the most effective water purification
system ever seen in drinking water dispensers -- the
‘Firewall’. Independent tests on the new purification
process showed that the internal firewall UV technology is
capable of reducing bacterial and viral contamination by
99.999% overall, and in most cases, by 100%.

The new Firewall is uniquely designed to sit at the point of
dispense and
actually act as the dispensing faucet itself. The result is
that all water being dispensed (except hot water) is
purified through the Firewall and immediately
poured into your cup. As the Firewall is integral to the
dispensing faucet, back contamination into the machine
through that area is also eliminated, thereby guaranteeing
100% pure water, 100% of the time.
The net result is that no bacteria or
viruses that are in the water can get out, and no airborne
bacteria or viruses can get into the faucet and infect the
water -- hence the name “Firewall’.
UV light destroys the growth of bacteria so Hygienic Water
is Guaranteed.
The innowave WL2 Firewall and WL2 Firewall Countertop are
expertly engineered point-of-use (POU) water treatment
systems offering greater than 99.999% bacteria and 99.99%
virus free drinking water.
innowave Firewall sytems are safe to use even during boil
order alerts.
Standard features include hot and cold dispensing via the
patented Firewall UV interface offering the ultimate in
safe, clean drinking water. These models come standard with
NSF certified filtration components for a pure taste that's
second to none.

NSF STANDARDS 55 AND PROTOCOL P231

NSF/ANSI Standard 55 -- innowave Firewall meets the Class A
standard
This standard establishes requirements for point-of-use (POU)
and point-of-entry (POE) non-public water supply (non-PWS)
ultraviolet systems and includes two optional
classifications. Class A systems (40 mJ/cm2) are designed to
disinfect and/or remove microorganisms from contaminated
water, including bacteria and viruses, to a safe level.
Class B systems (16 mJ/cm2) are designed for supplemental
bactericidal treatment of public drinking water or other
drinking water, which has been deemed acceptable by a local
health agency.
NSF Protocol P231
NSF Protocol P231 addresses systems that use chemical,
mechanical, and/or physical technologies to filter and treat
waters of unknown microbiological quality...
This protocol is also known at the EPA purifier standard for
non-potable water.
Furthermore, all innowave Firewall systems are certified by
the renowned European authority, Institut Dr. Lörcher.
